The control mechanism fitted detects flow rather than how a Total-Stop system registers dropped pressure in the high pressure hose. By fitting a flow sensitive switching device, these machines will not falsely start up as a result of a slow pressure drop when connected to a ring main system or leaking hose joints or gun, lance connections.
